Mika Baur on life in Glasgow, as Celtic’s new German midfielder talks about settling into the city and the club in his press conference before the LASK second leg. Baur discusses apartment hunting, Scottish football and playing under Martin O’Neill.
Baur says he’s enjoying Glasgow, spending his free time walking around the city and looking for a flat, and describes Scottish football as “a different style” from what he knew in Germany. He praises O’Neill for making new signings feel comfortable and says the manager’s approach is unlike anything he experienced back home.
He also touches on the Champions League play-off second leg in Linz, calling LASK “a good team” and saying Celtic need “the same mentality, the same energy” as in the first leg. Celtic went on to lose 5-1 after extra time and exit the UEFA Champions League play-off 5-4 on aggregate.
