Chelsea’s push for an historic quadruple remains alive after a dramatic 2–1 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup semifinal, sealed by a last-gasp header from Aggie Beever-Jones in the 95th minute.
Beever-Jones, 20, rose highest to meet a cross from Sandy Baltimore and delivered the decisive blow at Kingsmeadow, sparking wild celebrations and sending Chelsea through to Wembley for next month’s final.
“You dream of scoring goals like that,” said Beever-Jones. “To do it for Chelsea in a cup semifinal? Unreal.”

First-Half Battle
Liverpool stunned the hosts in the 21st minute when Olivia Smith, one of the WSL’s breakout stars, latched onto a perfectly weighted ball from Marie Hobinger and calmly finished past Hannah Hampton for her eighth goal of the season.
Chelsea responded just before halftime. Sandy Baltimore, dangerous all afternoon, delivered a cross that fell to Erin Cuthbert, who buried the equaliser off the post with composure.
Second-Half Pressure
Chelsea dominated after the break:
-
24 shots to Liverpool’s 6

Consistent pressure in the final third
Liverpool nearly stole it in the closing minutes when Taylor Hinds’ curling cross clipped the crossbar. But the winner was still to come.
In stoppage time, Baltimore floated in another dangerous ball and Beever-Jones rose above the pack to head home the winner — her biggest goal yet in a Chelsea shirt.
Wembley Awaits
Chelsea will now face the winner of Manchester United vs Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley. For Beever-Jones, it caps off a landmark fortnight that also included her first senior goal for England.
Emma Hayes: “That’s the Mentality of Champions”
“This group doesn’t know how to quit,” said Chelsea manager Emma Hayes. “That’s the mentality of champions.”
Hayes’ side has already won the Community Shield and remains alive in three more competitions — the FA Cup, Women’s Super League, and UEFA Champions League.
