During a tough Champions League clash against Porto, something bizarre happened: around the 60th minute, Yamal suddenly left the pitch to go to the toilet… without being substituted!
Gundogan recalls how the team kept playing a man down while coaches debated whether to wait for Lamine’s return or make a substitution. Minutes passed, and confusion grew on the bench and on the field.
“I was like: Guys, what’s going on? We’re playing with 10 men!” Gundogan laughed while telling the story.
