Golden State Warriors took control of their first-round playoff series by defeating the Houston Rockets 95-85 in Game 1. Powered by Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry, the Warriors clamped down defensively and overcame a late Rockets rally.

Jimmy Butler posted 25 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals, while Stephen Curry added 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting. Their leadership carried Golden State in a physical, low-scoring battle.
