After a dramatic UEFA Super Cup Final between France’s Paris Saint-Germain and England’s Tottenham Hotspur, Luis Enrique opened up about what went wrong. He admitted that Tottenham looked sharper, better prepared, and probably deserved the win.
Enrique highlighted the massive difference in preseason preparations between the two clubs. He said PSG, coming from France, had only just started their season, while Tottenham from England looked well-drilled and tactically disciplined.
He praised PSG’s fighting spirit and the impact of the substitutes in the second half but admitted the team relied on belief and momentum to push the game into penalties. Despite that, he said Tottenham were the better side on the night.
