Ethan Ampadu press conference before Wales vs Norway: asked about Erling Haaland, the Wales captain keeps it simple. “He scores goals.” He adds that Norway are “a very strong squad” and Wales have to keep an eye on everyone, not only Haaland. He also says the defeats to Portugal and Denmark were “not our identity” and that Wales need a win and a performance to be proud of at Cardiff City Stadium.
Ampadu says the Denmark loss came down to basics, like energy and getting close to opponents. He praises Lewis Koumas’s start, talks about his role guiding young players such as Dylan Lawlor and Charlie Savage, and says the squad will cope with four Nations League games in a row.
Asked about the Manchester City rulings, he says players are talking about it but he has no opinion. In this Ethan Ampadu press conference, he also says there is full belief in Craig Bellamy’s system as Wales prepare for Erling Haaland and Norway.
