Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice after half-time as Al Nassr came from behind to beat Al Riyadh 2-1.
The 40-year-old completed the comeback with a first-time volley from the edge of the box that flew into the top corner at Al-Awwal Park.
Selemani gives Al Riyadh the lead
Al Nassr controlled possession in the first half but struggled to turn it into clear chances. Jhon Durán had several openings without finding a finish.
Al Riyadh punished those misses two minutes into first-half stoppage time. Goalkeeper Bento parried an initial shot, and Faïz Selemani reacted first to turn in the rebound.
The goal gave the visitors a surprise lead at the interval and forced Stefano Pioli’s side to chase the match.
Ronaldo scores twice after half-time
Sadio Mané created the equaliser with a low ball across the six-yard box. Ronaldo escaped his marker at the far post and finished into an empty net.
The assistant referee raised the flag, but a video review confirmed Ronaldo had stayed onside and the goal stood.
Mané was also involved in the winner. His cross from the left was cleared only as far as Ronaldo on the edge of the area. The forward met the dropping ball first time and drove an unstoppable volley beyond Milan Borjan.
The two goals completed Al Nassr’s comeback in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Riyadh finish with ten men
Ahmed Asiri was sent off deep into stoppage time after clashing with Durán.
The referee initially showed a yellow card but changed the decision to red after reviewing the incident. By then, Ronaldo’s two finishes had already settled the contest.
